Error, 2019

The show took place in a video game with our professional dance company battling mental illnesses as their boss fights. I pulled the pink and blue color palatte from the costumer's jumpsuits. During each dancer's solo, my design stayed saturated but monotone until the player inevitably died in battle and were flooded with red light. Act 5 features the women working together, so I highlighted their cohesion by incorporating all the monochrome colors into a cohesive, flattering look. In the final moments, the computer crashes, the anxiety bolstered by an escalating flicker effect.
